For high-volume promotional-products distributors, Syncore sits close to the center of the business.
Facilisgroup has been expanding the platform's data and AI direction, with more emphasis on insights, recommendations, and connected workflows. That is good news for distributors because the richer and more accessible the system of record becomes, the more valuable automation around it can become.
But the most repetitive work rarely lives entirely inside Syncore.
The order usually starts somewhere else
A company-store order may originate in OrderMyGear. A client sends a change through email. A supplier update lives in a browser portal. Tracking comes from a carrier. An invoice arrives as a PDF. An employee then uses all of those inputs to update Syncore.
Syncore holds the order. The operator still bridges the world around it.
That distinction matters when companies think about AI strategy.
Better data does not automatically remove manual work
An AI dashboard can tell a manager that an order is at risk. Someone may still need to open the supplier portal, find the order, interpret the status, update the record, notify the rep, and send the appropriate customer response.
Insight is valuable. Execution is a separate layer.
The same is true for order entry. The data may be available in a source system, but somebody still has to recreate the order inside Syncore if the systems are not connected in the exact way the workflow requires.
The ideal agent works around Syncore, not against it
The goal should not be to replace Syncore. It should be to remove the human middleware surrounding it.
One concrete example is company-store order entry. AltOps can be taught to open an OrderMyGear order and recreate it in Syncore line by line, including sizes, colors, decoration, and the correct sales context. The resulting Syncore record remains the system of record.
The person no longer has to perform the transcription.
The same pattern can apply to supplier-status checks, supporting documents, account updates, and other repeatable workflows around the order lifecycle.
AI-ready systems make agents more useful
There is no conflict between a smarter ERP and an external execution agent.
As Syncore exposes more context, reporting, and AI capabilities, the operator agent can use a better environment. The system can become more intelligent internally while the agent becomes more capable at the boundaries.
This is how modern stacks tend to evolve: not one system replacing every other system, but clearer layers with better handoffs.
The question is where your people are still the connector
A practical Syncore automation review starts with one observation exercise.
Watch an experienced employee for two hours. Every time they leave Syncore to retrieve something, copy something, check something, or update something elsewhere, write it down.
That list is likely to contain the next generation of high-ROI automation projects.
AltOps can be taught the actual workflow around Syncore and operate the same surrounding tools your employees do, without requiring each external application to expose a clean integration.
