Go-to-Market · San Francisco
Go-to-Market Lead.
Our first dedicated go-to-market hire. Own how AltOps reaches, wins and grows customers, working directly with the founders.
About AltOps
AltOps builds AI agents for the back office. An employee records their screen doing a real workflow such as order entry, quoting or invoice reconciliation, and explains it out loud. We turn that recording into a skill an agent runs on its own cloud computer, across ERPs, supplier portals and spreadsheets, with no APIs and no integration project. We started in branded merchandise and distribution, where small teams carry enormous manual workloads, and we are expanding from there.
We are an early, in-person team in San Francisco working directly with paying customers. This role is our first dedicated go-to-market hire: you will own how AltOps reaches, wins and grows customers, working shoulder to shoulder with the founders.
What you’ll do
- Own the pipeline end to end: source distributors, decorators and back-office teams, run first calls, and carry deals from cold to closed.
- Run product demos alongside the founders. Record a prospect's real workflow on the call and show an agent running it back.
- Build the go-to-market machine from scratch: outbound motions, messaging, pricing conversations, and the playbook the next hires will run.
- Be the voice of the market inside the company: what buyers ask, where deals stall, which workflows to automate next.
- Show up where our customers are: industry events, trade shows, and their actual offices and shop floors.
Who you are
- 2–6 years in sales, growth or founder-adjacent go-to-market at a B2B company, or you have founded and operated something yourself and sold it to real businesses.
- You have closed deals personally. Pipeline discipline, tight follow-ups and honest forecasting are habits, not aspirations.
- You can learn an unfamiliar industry fast and talk credibly with an ops manager about order entry, supplier portals and reconciliation.
- You write clearly and demo confidently. Most of this job is explaining something new to busy people.
- You want the founding-team experience: ambiguity, ownership, speed, and results that are visibly yours.
Nice to have
- Experience selling into distribution, logistics, print and promo, or another unglamorous but huge industry.
- Familiarity with AI tooling and the current agent landscape.
- You have been early (first 10) at a startup before.
Compensation & benefits
- Base salary of $120K to $140K with meaningful early-stage equity
- Medical, dental and vision coverage
- In-person culture in our San Francisco office, with the equipment you need to do your best work
- Team lunches, offsites, and a front-row seat to building a company
- Direct work with the founders and real ownership from day one
The listed range is the base salary for this role. Final offers depend on experience and interview performance; equity is a substantial part of total compensation at this stage.
